"My fiance and I had a blast on Valentine's Day with our guide Kenny Boyd. Within 20 minutes of being in our kayaks on the St. Johns River, Kenny had pointed three different bird species to us and we had spotted our first manatee. Meet Your Kayak Tour Guides

Welcome to Central Florida Nature Adventures!

Kenny Boyd our Lead Guide started exploring the rivers and waterways of Central Florida as a young man. His first link to nature began as a kid growing up in Orange Park, FL. He found the lure of these secret spots irresistible and began to strive to inspire others to take a closer look. He is a true Florida boy, graduating high school from Eustis, FL, the same school from which his parents graduated.

He then served 4 years in the Navy working the flight deck on two Super Carriers, the Constellation and the Nimitz. During his tenure with the Navy, he experienced many of the world’s ports and became certified in Jungle Environmental Survival in the Philippines. He was Florida’s overall Cross Country Off-road Motorcycle champion and has spent years as a guide in the Central Florida area.

He is CPR and AED certified a self-taught Naturalist and Birder; speaks fluent Barred Owl and several other species. With an uncanny intuition of Florida’s wildlife and an exceptional eye, his knowledge exceeds most expectations. He has a great sense of humor and makes each and every trip an enjoyable one for all involved.

Jenny Boyd is a Florida Native. She was born in Eustis, FL where she and her husband Kenny reside now. Her love for the great outdoors started at a very young age. She grew up on Clear Lake and was taught to swim when she was an infant. At the age of 5, she went on her first hiking trip, riding on the top of her Dad’s backpack, while her family hiked through the Smokey Mountains. This trip started her curiosity and education of the flora and fauna that exists in the Southeast region and her knowledge continues to grow. She and Kenny hike and camp every chance they get throughout FL and the mountains of NC and TN.

Jenny spent years as a volunteer at S.A.D.L.E.S. an organization that is committed to helping children of all ages through Equine therapy. This brought her love of the great outdoors and animals together and enabled her to help teach others as well.

Our mission, Jenny says, is to help others experience the peaceful, rejuvenating, fun side of these beautiful backcountry places that exist here in Central Florida. Being outside, with nature, in a peaceful environment, has a calming effect on people and has been proven to reduce stress. That is what we hope to accomplish. When your customers leave with a huge smile on their face, thanking you for doing something you love to do, it warms your heart.

Randall Herron has been conducting tours in this area for 20 years. He is a historian, an excellent story teller, whose knowledge of Florida’s history and Native American history goes far beyond most. He began conducting sightseeing tours on the Dixie Queen Riverboat and the tours became the most popular part of the ride.

As new boats came to town Randall found new areas to explore, later tours included The Oceanic, The Barefoot Princess and the very successful “Trollyboats of Daytona”. Randall now conducts regular sightseeing tours like Native American History tours, Pirates and Smugglers theme tours and we are glad to have him join us as a kayak tour guide. Randall is a welcome addition to the team at Central Florida Nature Adventures, LLC he not only brings his vast historical knowledge but also his easy going, extremely personable style.

We welcome the opportunity to introduce you to the wildlife and the exceptional rivers, springs and runs that Central Florida has to offer. Just give us a call at 352-589-7899.
